What does double materiality mean in Finnish sustainability reporting?
Double materiality means the undertaking reports both the impact of its activity on people and the environment and the risks and opportunities that sustainability matters create for the undertaking itself. Both perspectives are assessed separately and then combined, and the assessment reaches the value chain upstream and downstream. The outcome and the approach are presented in the sustainability report within the management report, and limited assurance is obtained.
