About the legal source engine

A reading surface for law firms: Swedish statutes, preparatory works, agency regulations and guiding decisions from one closed register, with EU law attached to the rows where it belongs.

What it is

The engine answers in six fixed blocks: the legal question, primary sources, secondary sources, a deterministic summary, typical application and the audit trail. The order never changes, and every line carries the source it came from.

Blocks four and five are templates filled from the rows that matched. No sentence is written by a language model, so the same question returns the same answer, word for word, with the engine version printed on the result.

Which sources it reads

Statutes and preparatory works come from the Riksdag document register. Agency regulations come from each authority's own published collection. Guiding decisions come from the courts' own publication of Supreme Court and Supreme Administrative Court rulings. EU acts come from EUR-Lex.

Every source is read once into a snapshot with a read date. No page is fetched while a question is being answered, so an answer can be reproduced later against the same snapshot.

What it never does

No customer data is stored, no document is uploaded or extracted, and no matter is assessed. The engine points at the statute and the decision that applies it; the interpretation belongs to the lawyer.

When a row is missing, the answer says so. The engine never fills a gap with a plausible sentence.

Named sources with read dates

Every row in the engine comes from one of the registers below. The date is the day the register was read into the snapshot the answers are built against.
