Provenance privacy policy

The surface answers with rows from official sources, and it does not need to know who the reader is to do so. This page states which data still leaves a trace, why it is needed and how long it is kept.

What is processed

  • The question text sent to the engine, in order to select rows from the register.
  • A receipt identifier and a proof hash, making the answer retrievable without identifying a person.
  • Technical traffic information in aggregated form, for operations and measuring crawler traffic.
  • Data the reader enters in a contact form, so that the matter can be answered.

What is not processed

  • No account is required to read the register, and no login is needed for answers.
  • No profiling of individual readers, and no advertising identifiers.
  • No sale or transfer of data to third parties.
  • No storage of sensitive personal data in questions: never enter names or personal identity numbers.

Legal basis and retention

  • Operational data is processed on the legitimate interest of keeping the surface available and protected from abuse.
  • Contact data is processed to answer the matter the reader opened.
  • Aggregated traffic information is kept for at most twelve months, after which only aggregates remain.
  • Receipts contain no personal data, only identifier, address, read date and register version.

The reader's rights

  • The right to information on the processing, to rectification and to erasure of data the reader provided.
  • The right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
  • Requests are sent to the publisher of this surface, and answered without undue delay.

Personal data handling

What is processed, on what basis and for how long.

  • The controller is Valkiv Ventures AB, Kungsgatan 8, 111 43 Stockholm, Sweden. Org.nr 556995-1311. VAT SE556995131101.
  • The engine requires no account. There is no login, no profile and no document upload on the source engine.
  • A query is answered against a frozen snapshot in memory. The query is not used to train any model and is never sold on.
  • Fetched public pages are held for at most 15 minutes and then deleted.
  • The legal basis for operational logs is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679: keeping the service available and preventing abuse.
  • Data subjects may request access, rectification and erasure, and may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.

Report a deviation

If a row points at the wrong source, a date is off, or a decision has been overruled, write to us. Every report is answered, and a confirmed deviation is corrected in the register and written into the version history.

Reports go to the same address as data subject requests. We confirm receipt within two working days.
