When must a Finnish company hold change negotiations?
Change negotiations must be held when the employer considers dismissals, lay-offs or a move to part-time work on financial or production-related grounds, and in certain situations involving a material change to the work. The Act applies to undertakings with at least 20 employees on a regular basis, and the negotiation proposal must be made in writing before the negotiations begin.
