Ansökan om tillstånd enligt miljöbalken till fortsatt och utökad verksamhet vid Löt avfallsanläggning i Vallentuna kommun, Stockholms län ----- Söderhalls Renhållningsverk AB, SÖRAB, hade liksom länsstyrelsen i Stockholms län överklagat bolagets tillstånd till verksamheten vid Löts avfallsanläggning i ett antal punkter. Miljööverdomstolen tog i domen bland annat ställning till att konstruktionsmaterial utanför sluttäckningens tätskikt vad gäller skydd för hälsa och markmiljö inte behöver uppfylla högre krav på renhet än motsvarande kriterierna för mindre känslig markanvändning, MKM, som tillämpas för förorenad mark. Miljööverdomstolen fann också att mervärdesskatt ska ingå vid beräkning av den ekonomiska säkerheten.
