Strandskydd gäller vid havet och vid insjöar och vattendrag, om inte annat följer av 13 a-13 c §§.
Strandskyddet syftar till att långsiktigt
1. trygga förutsättningarna för allemansrättslig tillgång till strand-områden, och
2. bevara goda livsvillkor för djur- och växtlivet på land och i vatten. Lag (2025:512).
