Med unionsintern varutransport avses en transport av varor där avgångsorten och ankomstorten finns i två olika EU- länder.
Med avgångsorten avses den ort där transporten av varorna faktiskt inleds, utan hänsyn till det avstånd som tillryggalagts till den plats där varorna befinner sig.
Med ankomstorten avses den ort där transporten av varorna faktiskt avslutas.
