Om frivillig beskattning som beslutats enligt 12 § upphör i enlighet med 16 § innan uthyrning eller upplåtelse som avses i 5 eller 6 § har påbörjats, är fastighetsägaren skyldig att anmäla det förhållande som medför att beskattningen upphör till Skatteverket.
