När bokföringsskyldigheten inträder eller räkenskapsåret läggs om, får räkenskapsåret omfatta kortare tid än tolv månader eller utsträckas att omfatta högst arton månader. Räkenskapsåret får också kortas av om bokföringsskyldigheten upphör.
