Kommunen har i sina föreskrifter medgett enskilda att själva transportera avfall till återvinningscentraler. Av föreskrifterna framgår inte hur själva transporten ska gå till. Det finns inget hinder för det enskilda hushållet att anlita någon annan för att utföra transporten eller för en professionell aktör att skapa en digital mötesplats för flera enskilda hushåll att hitta varandra och erbjuda varandra sådana tjänster. Det har inte heller i övrigt funnits stöd för förbudet.
