Om en täkt av naturgrus kräver tillstånd eller anmälan enligt detta kapitel eller föreskrifter som har meddelats med stöd av kapitlet, får täkten inte komma till stånd om
1. det med hänsyn till det avsedda användningsområdet är tekniskt möjligt och ekonomiskt rimligt att använda ett annat material,
2. naturgrusförekomsten är betydelsefull för nuvarande eller framtida dricksvattenförsörjning och täkten kan medföra en försämrad vattenförsörjning, eller
3. naturgrusförekomsten utgör en värdefull natur- eller kulturmiljö. Lag (2012:907).
