Bokföringslag (1999:1078) (SFS 1999:1078)

Företaget skall upprätta sådana beskrivningar över bokföringssystemets organisation och uppbyggnad som behövs för att ge överblick över systemet (systemdokumentation). Företaget skall också upprätta sådana beskrivningar över genomförda bearbetningar inom systemet som gör det möjligt att utan svårighet följa och förstå de enskilda bokföringsposternas behandling (behandlingshistorik).
Om företaget har flera separata bokföringar, skall det av systemdokumentationen för varje bokföring framgå var uppgifter ur övriga bokföringar kan erhållas.
