I ett publikt aktiebolag får styrelsens ordförande inte vara verkställande direktör i bolaget.
Styrelsens ordförande ska, utöver det som anges i 17 §, bevaka att styrelsen fullgör de uppgifter som anges i 46 a och 46 b §§. Lag (2014:539).
