Ett svenskt aktiebolag får ombildas till en motsvarande juridisk person som omfattas av lagstiftningen i en annan stat inom Europeiska ekonomiska samarbetsområdet än Sverige (gränsöverskridande ombildning).
En gränsöverskridande ombildning sker genom att ett aktiebolag, utan att upplösas, överför sitt registrerade säte till en annan stat inom Europeiska ekonomiska samarbetsområdet och ombildas till ett bolag som omfattas av lagstiftningen i den staten. Lag (2022:1647).
