What it does in the work

• Finds a provision by reference or by plain wording — act number, chapter, section or ordinary language.
• Looks up a ruling by case number in any spelling, and shows the legal question before you open the file.
• Serves EU law at article level, so the citation is to the article and not to the whole act.
• Links every quote on to the published node, which in turn points at the official source.

What it never does

• It does not write advice and takes no position in an individual matter.
• It does not invent a provision, a case number or an article that is not in the register.
• It does not store the question asked and builds no profile of the person asking.

• The first mapping in a new matter: which regimes apply and where they are written.
• Checking a citation in a draft before it goes to the client or the other side.
• Monitoring: what has been re-read in a legal area since you were last here.

FAQ

Can I use an answer directly in a filing?

Use the node, not the answer. Every quote leads to a published address with an official source — that is what you cite, after your own check.

Does the register cover travaux préparatoires?

The register holds acts, rulings, EU acts at article level and supervisory authorities. Preparatory works are reached through the source the node points at.

Are my questions visible anywhere?

The text of a question never leaves your device for the journal. Only the fact that a question was asked is counted, for operating statistics.
