Når tilvirker eller annen person i tidligere salgsledd har gitt opplysning som nevnt i § 18 (2), er han ansvarlig for tap kjøperen lider på grunn av opplysningen, i tilfelle solidarisk med selgeren. Reglene i § 40 gjelder tilsvarende.
