How is a rent tribunal decision appealed?
Appealable decisions are heard by the Svea Court of Appeal, the final instance in tenancy and land lease matters. Some decisions, including certain rent-setting matters, may not be appealed at all.
What the source says
- The act on land lease and rent tribunals: decisions are appealed to the Svea Court of Appeal.
- The same act: the court of appeal's ruling may not be appealed further.

For the owner, landlord or seller
Read the appeal instruction in the decision, it states both the deadline and whether an appeal is possible.
For the tenant, buyer or client
A non-appealable decision applies at once, plan around it rather than waiting for review.
Next step
Read the instance order together with the matter at hand, appealability differs between case types.
