When does general protection against dismissal apply?
General protection against dismissal applies to employees whose employment in the same establishment has lasted for more than six months without interruption, and in establishments above the headcount stated in the Act. A dismissal is then effective only if it is socially justified by reasons relating to the person, to conduct or to urgent operational requirements.
