How long is the seller liable for a defect in a Finnish consumer sale?
The seller is liable for a defect that existed at the time of delivery, even if it appears later. There is no fixed guarantee period; liability follows the expected lifespan of the goods. The consumer must notify the defect within a reasonable time of discovering it, and a notice given within two months is always in time.
