(1) Denne loven får anvendelse i merverdiavgiftsområdet.
(2) Med merverdiavgiftsområdet menes det norske fastlandet og alt område innenfor territorialgrensen, men ikke Svalbard, Jan Mayen eller de norske bilandene.
