Section 2
Supply chain mapping
The bill would require fashion and footwear companies above a stated revenue threshold doing business in New York to map at least half of their supply chain at every tier, from raw material to final assembly, and publish that mapping. The company must report how suppliers were selected, which material risks were identified and what actions were taken, with stated deadlines and penalties for failure to disclose.
Example — A clothing brand publishes a list of spinning mills, dyehouses and sewing factories with country and share of volume, and reports which tiers remain unmapped.
