En förutsättning för serveringstillstånd enligt alkohollagen (1994:1738) är att serveringsstället har ett kök för allsidig matlagning. Detta krav har inte ansetts uppfyllt i fall då serveringsställets kök inte fått användas för tillagning av stekta rätter (I) och i fall då serveringsstället haft ett eget kök med otillräcklig kapacitet för allsidig matlagning och tillgång till andra kökslokaler som var gemensamma för hyresgästerna i en saluhall (II).
