Om det upptäcks att en allvarlig miljöskada har uppstått, skall verksamhetsutövaren genast underrätta tillsynsmyndigheten om detta och redogöra för de åtgärder som verksamhetsutövaren har vidtagit och kommer att vidta samt de ytterligare åtgärder som kan behöva vidtas för avhjälpande. Lag (2007:660).
