Ett aktiebolag är ett privat aktiebolag eller ett publikt aktiebolag.
Ett privat aktiebolag kan vara ett aktiebolag med särskild vinstutdelningsbegränsning enligt bestämmelserna i 32 kap.
Lagen gäller alla aktiebolag, om inte annat föreskrivs. Lag (2005:812).
