Når det er nødvendig, kan Arbeidstilsynet kreve at politiet bistår ved gjennomføring av tilsyn og fullbyrdelse av vedtak gitt i medhold av kapittel 18. Politiet kan anvende makt i den utstrekning det er nødvendig og forsvarlig.Tilføyd ved lov 20 juni 2025 nr. 34 (i kraft 1 juli 2025 iflg. res. 20 juni 2025 nr. 1099).
