Om mark- och miljödomstolens dom avser tillstånd till geologisk lagring av koldioxid, ska domstolen underrätta Sveriges geologiska undersökning och Europeiska kommissionen om innehållet i domen och regeringens beslut i frågan om tillåtlighet. Detta ska göras när domen har vunnit laga kraft. Lag (2012:430).
