Regeringen eller den myndighet som regeringen bestämmer får meddela ytterligare föreskrifter om
1. avfall, om föreskrifterna behövs till följd av Sveriges medlemskap i Europeiska unionen, och
2. avfallsförebyggande åtgärder som har särskild betydelse för skyddet för människors hälsa eller miljön. Lag (2026:507).
