Om flera producentansvarsorganisationer för förpackningar har godkänts, men endast en av organisationerna ska ansvara för insamling av förpackningsavfall från verksamheter och för information om avfallshanteringen, ska de andra producentansvarsorganisationerna betala skälig ersättning till den ansvariga organisationen för dess kostnader. Ersättningens storlek ska för varje ersättningsskyldig organisation beräknas på grundval av organisationens marknadsandel.
Den myndighet som regeringen bestämmer får besluta hur stor en producentansvarsorganisations marknadsandel ska anses vara. Lag (2026:507).
