Om en fastighet övergår till en ny ägare och den tidigare ägaren är underhållsskyldig efter övertagande enligt 20 § första stycket, svarar den nya ägaren för de skyldigheter som följer av övertagandet.
Övertagandet enligt 20 § första stycket skall antecknas i fastighetsregistrets allmänna del. Lag (2000:228).
