Med beskattningsgrundande händelse avses den händelse genom vilken de rättsliga villkoren för att mervärdesskatt ska kunna tas ut är uppfyllda. I 4 och 7-13 §§ anges vid vilken tidpunkt den beskattningsgrundande händelsen inträffar.
