Om köpet har hävts och konsumenten gjort ett täckningsköp till högre pris, omfattar skadeståndet ersättning för prisskillnaden mellan de båda köpen, om täckningsköpet gjorts med tillräcklig omsorg och inom skälig tid efter det att köpet hävdes. Om köpet har hävts utan att ett sådant täckningsköp har gjorts och det finns ett gängse pris för en sådan vara som köpet avser, omfattar skadeståndet ersättning för skillnaden mellan priset enligt köpet och varans gängse pris vid tiden för hävningen.
