I 1 kap. 7 § lagen (1995:1559) om årsredovisning i kreditinstitut och värdepappersbolag och i 1 kap. 6 § lagen (1995:1560) om årsredovisning i försäkringsföretag finns bestämmelser om räkenskapsår i vissa företag.
