Om en styrelseledamot inte kan närvara vid ett sammanträde och det finns en suppleant som skall träda in i hans eller hennes ställe, skall denne ges tillfälle till det.
En sådan suppleant för arbetstagarledamot som har utsetts enligt lagen (1987:1245) om styrelserepresentation för de privatanställda skall alltid få underlag och ges tillfälle att delta i behandlingen av styrelsens ärenden på samma sätt som en styrelseledamot.
