Ett avstämningsbolag är ett aktiebolag vars bolagsordning innehåller förbehåll om att bolagets aktier ska vara registrerade i ett avstämningsregister enligt lagen (1998:1479) om värdepapperscentraler och kontoföring av finansiella instrument (avstämningsförbehåll).
I ett avstämningsbolag ska aktierna registreras i ett avstämningsregister för bolaget. Lag (2016:60).
