How long must a UK business wait after asking for consent to proceed?

After a defence against money laundering request the business must wait seven working days for a response. If consent is refused, a moratorium period of thirty-one calendar days follows, during which the transaction must not proceed and which the court can extend by successive periods up to a total of one hundred and eighty-six days. Acting during the notice or moratorium period without consent exposes the business to the principal money laundering offences.
