Which UK companies must publish climate-related financial disclosures?

A UK company must publish climate-related financial disclosures in its strategic report when it is a traded, banking or insurance company, or an AIM company, with more than 500 employees, or any other large company with more than 500 employees and turnover above £500 million. The disclosure covers governance of climate risk, the process for identifying and assessing it, the principal risks and opportunities, the resilience of the business model, targets and the key performance indicators used against them. Where the directors reasonably believe a given item is not material to the business, they may omit it and explain why.
