Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986

The Act allows the court or the Secretary of State to disqualify a person from acting as a director, and states the grounds: unfitness, insolvency-related conduct, persistent breaches of filing duties and certain convictions. Acting while disqualified is a criminal offence and can carry personal liability for company debts.
