- Paragraph 1 applies. 1. Member States shall lay down the rules on penalties applicable to infringements of this Regulation that impose obligations on economic operators and providers of online marketplaces and shall take all measures necessary to ensure that they are implemented in accordance with national law.
- Paragraph 2 applies. 2. The penalties provided for shall be effective, proportionate and dissuasive.
- Paragraph 3 applies. 3. The Member States shall, by 13 December 2024, notify the Commission of those rules and of those measures, where they have not previously been notified, and shall notify it, without delay, of any subsequent amendment affecting them.
