The source engine, the API and the answer proofs are open without an account. What costs is the agreement around them: service level, data processing agreement, a named contact and the right to embed the registry in your own product.

API pricing by content class

The agent API is priced by what is fetched, not by who fetches it. Four classes, the same registry and the same answer in all of them. The per-fetch price applies to volume beyond the monthly plan. The yearly price is an OEM licence for resellers embedding the engine, contracted separately.

TierContentPer fetch
Tier 4 — EU regulationEU acts, EU articles, the implementation map and bundles built on EU acts.0.90
Tier 3 — Case lawJudgments, case-law agents, risk profile and the relation graph around them.0.60
Tier 2B — US rulesFederal rules, US agents and US regulatory decisions.0.30
Tier 2A — Swedish statutesSwedish statutes and statute agents.0.15
Tier 1 — QuestionsQuestion agents, answer nodes, the change feed and freshness.0.05

How billing is introduced

  1. Now: the price list is published and carried in response headers. Nothing is closed.
  2. Now: soft limits per class. High rates get 429 with Retry-After, never a payment response.
  3. From 2026-10-28: Tier 2–4 require a key for machine calls. Tier 1 and search/AI engines stay open.

Region and agent licences are not sold today. What is contracted now is fetch and the monthly plan.

No token costs are added. Fetch, crawl, indexing and training are priced flat per call, subscription or licence, and we never meter or bill tokens. The price you see is the whole price.

Prepaid balance

You load your key in advance and every fetch draws its own price from the balance. No subscription, no licence fee, no invoice afterwards and no lock-in. When the balance runs out the API answers 402 with the price, the balance and a link to top up, so nothing is charged that you have not already funded.

  • Free baseline of 2 000 fetches per day and caller, so you can evaluate before you pay.
  • Indexing costs the same as a fetch. Training costs three times a fetch, charged from the same balance.
  • No token costs are added on fetch, crawl, indexing or training.

Always included

The same registry, the same answer and the same version number at every tier. A paying customer does not get a different answer from the open surface, that would be incompatible with a reproducible answer. The difference lies in the agreement, the limits and the support.

Terms for service level, data residency and processing agreements are on the enterprise page.

Pricing FAQ

Are there token costs on top of the price?

No. We never meter or bill tokens. Fetch, training, crawl and indexing are priced flat per call, subscription or licence, and the amount you see in the price list is the whole cost, regardless of answer size or data volume.

What does a fetch cost?

A fetch is reading one answer from the registry. It is a flat price item per tier: a free baseline of 2,000 fetches per day without an account, then a flat per-fetch price or monthly plan per the table. No token metering is added, so the same answer always costs the same.

What does training cost?

Training on the corpus is contracted as a one-off licence per scope, per the table under Training: licence. The amount covers the whole licence, and no variable charges apply.

What do crawl and indexing cost?

Reading our surface is free for search and AI engines that show our answers. Building your own index and serving the registry inside your own product is a subscription at a flat price per tier, exactly as the table shows. Nothing is added on top.

Can the total monthly invoice still surprise us?

Not unexpectedly. The price consists of fixed parts: the monthly plan, a flat per-fetch price beyond the plan's volume and, where relevant, a licence. There is no variable token line, so every part can be calculated in advance from the price list on this page.

Where are the prices in machine-readable form?

In the file /.well-known/pricing.json. It carries the price list, payment status per actor and a field stating that no token metering applies.

No token costs are added. Fetch, crawl, indexing and training are priced flat per call, subscription or licence, and we never meter or bill tokens. The price you see is the whole price.
