I sådan frånvaroperiod inräknas även dagar när arbetstagaren inte skulle ha utfört arbete.\n\nFrånvaron upphör att vara semesterlönegrundande då arbetstagaren varit helt eller delvis frånvarande från arbetet under ett helt intjänandeår, utan längre avbrott i frånvaron än fjorton dagar i en följd.
